If you are not satisfied with our products, you may return them in resalable condition within 30 days for a full refund (not including shipping and handling costs).   This applies to all customers except those ordering from bookstores.

University and College Bookstore Resellers Return Policy
Prior approval is required for all bookstore returns. Fax requests to (707) 878.9111. Items may be returned no sooner than 30 days and no later than 90 days from the date shipped. The original invoice must be paid in full before we can process a return. A 15% restocking fee will be charged. No more than 20% of the dollar value of the order may be returned. Since we provide quantity discounts on our thinker’s guides and miniature guides, the number of guides not returned cannot fall below the numerical cut-off for the discount price. For example, the first quantity discount applies to the range of 25-199 copies ordered. If 30 copies are ordered and 10 are returned, the price per guide in the original order increases to the 1-24 copy price range, the difference of which will be applied to the return invoice. Only current editions of all materials will be acceptable for return. All refunds will be paid in the same form as the original order. Credit memos are not issued. Any unauthorized returns sent to The Foundation for Critical Thinking will be shipped back at customer's request and expense, plus handling fee (Requires prepayment or ship collect account).

When returning merchandise, it is necessary to include the invoice number or order number to receive full credit. If the merchandise is returned without this information, the refund will not processed until the invoice number or order number is received.   It is the responsibility of the bookstore to verify receipt of  such information.

Damaged or Missing Materials

Notify The Foundation for Critical Thinking immediately upon receipt of materials if you received damaged or missing merchandise.  Damaged or missing materials will NOT be replaced if notification is not received within 1 week of the delivery date.

 

Event Registration Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to all events sponsored by the Foundation for Critical Thinking and held in the U.S.   For refunds, all cancellations must be received in writing no later than one month prior to the scheduled event. A $50.00 (per person) processing fee will be deducted from all refunds. Phone cancellations will not be accepted.  Cancellations may be received via fax, email or regular mail.  It is up to the registrant to confirm receipt of the cancellation request.

No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after the deadline. In extenuating circumstances, to be determined solely by the Foundation for Critical Thinking, a voucher for attendance at another Foundation for Critical Thinking Sponsored event might be offered.  Additional fees may be required.  Vouchers cannot be offered for international workshops and academies in England or any country other than the U.S.

Substitutions for persons attending can be made up to two weeks in advance without charge.  In the event of circumstances beyond its control, the Foundation for Critical Thinking reserves the right to amend or cancel any event.  The Foundation For Critical Thinking is not liable for any expense incurred by participants as a result of cancellation.
